The nose was distinctly brettanomyces all but drowning the dark berry aroma. The nose did not develop at all over a 3 hour period. On the palate the wine was simple and exhibited little secondary character - perhaps at best some cedar. Tannins were dusty and generally what you expect of a wine of this age. This wine was a very big disapointment. Beautiful fruit dominates without the palate numbing toasted oak.
