canard's Review: fruit notes are cherry and pomegranate. There is a jammy swseetness, but the wine is not sweet. Good balance. There is a smoky, sweet vanilla on the palate that is balanced with a spicy clove and anise.

canard's Review: Tropical fruit notes. Mango comes out. Buttery taste gives it good structure and a nice tactile feel. Butterscotch notes throughout from the oak aging.

canard's Review: Medium-bodied wine that is dark magenta in color. On the nose, smoky dark cherries. On the palate, chocolate-covered cherries and minerals with a very long 30-40 second finish...very nice!

canard's Review: It is a blend of 40% Garnacha (from 80 year old vines), 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah and 5% Pinot Noir, Mourvedre and Merlot. The winemaker presses the wine with an olive press -- which leads to the wine being 50% more concentrated. Result, even the 1995 is a little too young to drink. The wine is massive and the minerality crackles on the tongue... along with blueberry and blackberry notes.

canard's Review: There are notes of peach, pear and honeysuckle on the nose with a long, silky finish and great complexity in the mouth. It was a perfect wine for middle of the road appetizers, since it still held some mineral notes common to the Priorat region.
