lyinsan's Review: The green apple in this almost overwhelms the delicate floral notes, but in the finish, they blend beautifully with the hazelnut and minerality to create a beautiful and fully mature wine.

lyinsan's Review: The lychee and pear notes, combined with the faintly mineral aroma mean this wine is ready to drink now, and drink with a lovely light dessert or sweet meal. Fish with a fruit sauce, especially tropical fruit, would be a beautiful pairing. The flavours are delicate, though not without heft, and combine to create a beautifully silky wine.

lyinsan's Review: The bitterness of this wine, as well as the pomegranate makes for a wine that is only enjoyable with a rich, meaty dinner for now. The cherry and dried black fruits are lovely, but after a couple days of being open, the raw meat almost takes over and blends with the tannins to create a wine on the edge of being very good or very bad. It is going in my cellar for a few years to see if it matures into the wine it promises to be.

lyinsan's Review: This is a wine that deserves to cellar for a few more years in order to reach its full potential. The black pepper and seared-steak flavours are strong, and will continue to blend and mature, hopefully balancing out the delicate black fruits of this vintage. The tannins are incredibly soft, creating a precarious balance with the acid. Overall, a wonderful wine that will be enjoyable for a long time to come.

lyinsan's Review: Incredibly strong notes of milk chocolate and black fruit, with a clean finish and a wonderfully mellow combination of tannens and acid. The licorice and Spring Mountain mint are bold and provide a lovely counterpoint to the cardamom and clove. Almost fully mature, this wine will continue to develop complexity for another few years. I had an opportunity to try this wine, along with nine others, at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival in Walt Disney World this year during a wine tasting. Dennis Fife was there and explained his methods and his vision for wine, which is to combine the European concepts of terroir with the Napa Valley mini-climates. His wines are big, but complex enough that the size isn't overwhelming. Definitely a must for any well-rounded cellar - If you can get your hands on it.

lyinsan's Review: The delicate nose and palette of basil and anise are nearly overwhelmed by the smoky finish, which should hopefully lessen in intensity with another year of aging. The medium but soft tannens are well-balanced by the low acidity, giving the wine a fantastic minerality and has it approaching it's peak. Most likely, within two years, this wine will be a wonderful addition to anything from gourmet pizza to a casual veal dinner.
